Jim Scroggins, a longtime prep football coach and athletic administrator, served as an FCA High School Huddle Coach for more than 30 years. The former United States Marine Corps Second Lieutenant helped raise funds each year to assist student-athletes in attending FCA Camps.

Scroggins, referred to as a “Coach of Influence”, began his football-playing career at The Marion Institute in Marion, Alabama, before playing at Austin Peay University in Clarksville, Tennessee. A serious knee injury forced Scroggins to medically retire from the Marine Corps, where he also played football for the Quantico Marines. Following the injury, he became a coach, making stops at Austin Peay, The Marion Institute, Gordon Junior College, and Vanderbilt, before entering the high school head and assistant coaching ranks in Florida and Georgia.
