As head football coach of the U.S. Air Force Academy from 1984-2006, Fisher DeBerry led 17 of his 23 squads to winning records and 12 captured bowl bids, compiling a mark of 169-109-1. A native of South Carolina, DeBerry was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011 and is also a member of the South Carolina Sports Hall of Fame, Independence Bowl Hall of Fame, and the Colorado Spring Sports Hall of Fame.

A three-time Western Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, DeBerry continuously gave of his time and finances to support FCA and its mission. DeBerry began his football career at Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C., and served as an FCA National Board of Trustee, worked on local and state FCA boards and was a speaker and coach at various Huddles during his coaching career.
