Joe Owen’s heart for inner city athletes has inspired many. He personally supported many youth, and he provided scholarships that sent hundreds of athletes to FCA Camp. Owen was instrumental in recruiting more FCA staff in Virginia, and he has worked tirelessly to raise over $1 million for ministry needs. He’s been a faithful supporter, recruited dozens of volunteers and support partners, volunteered at team chapels and local ministry events, and introduced many coaches at The University of Richmond to FCA. Along with serving as a local board member for FCA Capital Region, he served on the National Board of Trustees for 12 years. Owen has lived out FCA’s values with quiet confidence and resolute determination.
