Mr. Williams was co-founder of FCA in the state of Minnesota. Bob has he was known was also inducted into the FCA Minnesota Hall of Faith. He was the first African American to play for the Minnesota Lakers of the NBA. Mr. Williams was a pioneer on so many fronts beyond playing for the Lakers, as he moved into an all-white neighborhood in an era when it was not popular, let alone allowed.

Bob was active in his community while he served with FCA helping in his local church as a Deacon and the Boys and Girls Club.

Bob’s family thought enough of his legacy in FCA that our RVP Brian Conklin was invited to share at Bob’s homegoing celebration where he was able to present the family with our signature servant statue.

Williams passed away at home in Rosemount, MN on January 19, 2021 and is survived by his wife Marietta.
