A former high school coach, Ken Smith served as football team chaplain at both Florida State University and the University of South Carolina. The Baylor University graduate holds graduate degrees from both Southern Baptist Seminary and Mississippi State University.

Smith, who has served churches in Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina and Florida, was an FCA National Board of Trustee and frequent speaker at FCA Camps and major ministry events. The Pastor Emeritus at the First Baptist Church of Wauchula, Florida, has authored two books: It Ought To Be Joy and Lessons from the Top: What I’ve Learned About Winning and Leading.
