Mike Singletary
Recognized as one of the best defensive players in NFL history, Mike Singletary was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1998. The longtime Chicago Bear linebacker was an eight-time All-Pro selection playing in 10 Pro Bowls over the course of his 12-year career. Singletary, a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, was also a member of the NFL’s 1980 All-Decade Team. Following his playing career, Singletary joined the coaching ranks, serving in the head coach and positional coaching roles for several NFL teams.
Singletary accepted Christ in 1972 — following the death of his brother, he turned to Christ to give him guidance and stability. The two-time All-American at Baylor University was always quick to push the credit for his numerous accolades back to Christ, saying God gave him just enough athletic ability and he wanted to honor the Lord for that gift. Involved with FCA for many years, Singletary speaks regularly at FCA banquets and events around the country.
