Forrest “Frosty” Westering
Forrest “Frosty” Westering led the Pacific Lutheran University football team for 32 seasons, amassing 305 wins and never once tallied a losing record. The 2005 inductee into the College Football Hall of Fame led his team to the postseason 18 times in his final 22 years, winning a total of four National Championships — NAIA (1980, 1987, 1993) and NCAA Division III (1999). Westering was active in the FCA ministry throughout his career as a collegiate football coach at Parsons College (Iowa), Albert Lea (Minnesota) and Pacific Lutheran (Washington) participating in national FCA football camps and area-wide events. Westering, the all-time winningest NAIA football coach, was a passionate spokesperson and ambassador for FCA in speech, deed and involvement.
